The situation is much worse for those with a high school education or less – those who 20 to 40 years ago could expect to get a good job in the factory that has now gone in Cambodia or Vietnam.

Black mortality rates are higher than white mortality rates in middle age, but have been falling rapidly.

People overestimate the average age of their citizens. Brazilians guessed 56 versus actual 31.

Overall, Mexico was deemed to be the most ignorant, followed by India.

South Korea was deemed the most accurate,. The US ranked fifth accurate.
